World Trigger surprises fans after confirming the release of Season 3! The fans were a little bumped out after the half a decade long hiatus following Season 1 led to a 12-episode long Season 2. Season 3 was announced even before the second season aired and now has finally revealed more details.
World Trigger is an underdog Shonen and sci-fi anime that takes place in Mikado City. After a gate to another world randomly opens, mysterious monsters called “neighbors” start invading the earth. To combat these monsters and save the earth, the Border Defense Agency fight them with special weapon cammed “Triggers.”
Four years after the invasion, Osamu Mikumo, a member in training, discovers a new student being dragged into a forbidden area and being bullied. Suddenly, they’re attacked by a neighbor, forcing the trainees to use their weapons in an unauthorized area. However, the battle is cut short after the newbie reveals himself to be a hybrid between a human and a neighbor.
So far in Season 2, the three-way battle between Tamakoma, Oji, and Ikoma Units continues. Osamu gets taken out but manages to get a point against Oji. To avoid spoilers, I won’t reveal who won, but the gradual character development and the amazingly choreographed are definitely making this season worth a watch!

3. About World Trigger
World Trigger, also known in short form as WorTri, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Daisuke Ashihara. It was initially serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from February 2013 to November 2018 and later transferred to Jump Square in December 2018.
A mysterious white-haired kid named Yūma Kuga gets transferred to the local school. Turns out, Kuga is actually a humanoid or ‘neighbor.’ In school, he becomes friends with another student, Osamu Mikumo, who is, in fact, an undercover C-class Border trainee. Mikumo becomes the perfect guide for Kuga to save him from being discovered by Border.
