Boruto Next Generation: Who is Eida? How Strong Is She?

After a month-long wait, Chapter 57 finally gives the readers some insight into the identity of the mysterious female cyborg teased at the very end of Chapter 56.

Despite Isshiki Otsutsuki being defeated, the threat from the Kara remains in the form of its last remaining Inner member Code and his newly awakened accomplice, the enigmatic cyborg Eida.

Eida is a cyborg created by Amado. She has the ability to see everything on Earth and the ability to steal the hearts of everyone except blood relatives and Otsutsuki.

1. Who is Eida?

Eida is a cyborg made by the scientist Amado. Her entire body is made of scientific ninja technology similar to Delta and Kashin Koji. Eida was among the cyborgs whose abilities far surpassed Isshiki’s while in Jigen’s body.

Due to this, Boro was ordered by Isshiki to destroy her. However, he fell victim to her ‘love spell’ and could not destroy her out of infatuation and hid her away instead.

Eida was found and awoken by Code in Chapter 57 to aid him in his plans after Isshiki’s death.

2. How Strong Is Eida?

I. Eida’s Abilities

Eida has the ability of clairvoyance, which is similar to an advanced doujutsu. The ability allows her to see everything in the world; she describes it as her consciousness jumping to the place she is observing.

Although she can look into the past, she cannot see events that took place before she was born. She also cannot look into the future.

Despite being asleep, Eida was fully aware of Isshiki’s death as well as the details of it. She knew why Code had sought her out and the details of how to disable the limiters placed on him.

She was also aware that Amado had hidden away in Konoha and that the Kage were discussing hunting down Code. Her ability would make it impossible for the Shinobi to come up with a plan to find her and Code, much less ambush them.

Besides Clairvoyance, Eida has the terrifying ability to steal hearts. Her ‘Love Spell’ can make everyone infatuated with her, except for blood relatives and Otsutsuki.

Even those who have almost wholly been turned into Otsutsuki using the Karma, such as Kawaki and Boruto, are immune to it.

Using this ability Eida was able to stop Boro from destroying her. She also managed to ensnare Code, who hesitated to hurt her after waking her up. If Eida can use this ability on a large scale, it would make it very difficult to defeat her in battle.

II. Who Can Defeat Eida? Is It Possible?

Although Eida seems unstoppable at first glance, all hope is not last. Her clairvoyance is undoubtedly the biggest hurdle in defeating her.

Since she can see any plans the Shinobi make, It would be difficult to take her by surprise, but it is unlikely she will be able to predict moves in close combat since she cannot see the future.

The smokescreen used by Sasuke against Isshiki during the final battle could also block her vision in a close-range fight, albeit temporarily. Speed would be of the essence in defeating the all-knowing cyborg.

The pills that Amado gives Naruto for Boruto also interfere with Doujutsu. Perhaps these could be used to interfere with Eida’s vision though slipping her one of these pills would be nearly impossible.

Amado also likely has secret commands for all the cyborgs he has created. He was able to incapacitate Delta with a single word when she confronted him and Kashin Koji. He could have a similar secret command for Eida too.

Lastly, Boruto and Kawaki are the only two among the Shinobi immune to her ‘love spell’ due to the Karma and the Otsutsuki-fication. Neither of them would hesitate in a fight against Eida. So all that remains is to find Code and the blue-haired cyborg.

3. Eida’s Plans

Besides helping Code, Eida has her own agenda. She hates Amado for taking away her ability to experience ordinary love and plans to pursue either Kawaki or Boruto since they are the only ones immune to her ability to cause infatuation.
