After two whole seasons of hilarious adventures, KonoSuba will be back for a third season soon. Whether they were able to achieve their end goal or not, Kazuma and his ragtag team were always able to make me laugh, and I expect no less from the upcoming installation.
With new characters and misunderstandings, the anime will be here to deliver its usual chaos.
Kadokawa has just confirmed the third season of KonoSuba – God’s blessing on this wonderful world!! The good news doesn’t end just yet, as the Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! spinoff novel series will also receive an anime adaptation.
KonoSuba’s first two seasons and the last movie adapted to volume 5 of the light novel. Since the anime closely follows the light novels, season 3 might adapt volumes 6-7.
In the upcoming episodes, you can expect Kazuya to get invited to a royal banquet where he will meet Princess Iris. She will (unsurprisingly) take a liking to him, but after a few dream-like days with her, Kazuya suddenly has to face a shocking reality.
Coming to the spinoff series, An Explosion on This Wonderful World! is indeed a wonderful addition to the KonoSuba franchise. It focuses on Megumin and her newfound obsession with having her own crew of bandits.
The only problem with her plan is that the members she chose for her team are problem children through and through. From extreme introversion to questionable morals, Megumin’s new team will be quite a handful.
With two anime series greenlit at once, the KonoSuba staff have outdone themselves. The new spinoff will take you on a delightful journey where Megumin will understand how hard it is to maintain a team, and it’s definitely worth looking forward to.
