One Piece is set to make you feel more Christmassy this week. The anime has kept us on our toes for a while, and we also got a film this year. Now, as the year approaches its end, they’re sure to make it more memorable for us.
On Sunday, the official website for One Piece Film: Red announced that Uta would appear in the upcoming One Piece episode, which airs on December 25. The original character from the film Red will appear in a Santa outfit in the episode’s end card sequence.
Uta’s appearance will be in the form of an animated video. Before the episode, the video will also air on big screens across Tokyo’s Shibuya Scramble Street and Osaka’s Tsutaya Ebisubashi Vision from December 19 to December 25.

On New Year’s Eve, Uta will also appear on NHK’s 73rd Kohaku Uta Gassen, Japan’s most-watched program.
This appearance will be in the form of a 3D avatar, and Ado, who sang for Uta in the movie, will perform. Uta has hinted that ‘more announcements’ will be made at the performance.
One Piece Film: Red was released in Japanese theaters on August 6. It is the highest-earning film of the franchise as of now, standing at number 6 in the list of anime films and at number 9 in the list of highest-earning films in Japan.
