Episode 3 perfectly portrayed the sudden moments of anxiety and adult depression, which most other shows skip. Uramichi is still searching for meaning in his wretched life.
The episode ended with a lesson to all children that evil doesn’t necessarily lose every time. This was Uramichi’s reward for pulling off an all-nighter.

Episode 4 Speculation
Episode 4 is titled “Endless Heat Wave.” The title hints towards a hot summer day where Uramichi will reluctantly continue with his job as the children’s tv show host.
The previous episode taught the children the importance of brushing and gurgling. The upcoming episode will probably teach them some basic tips and tricks that they must follow to survive the hot summer.
I am sure that Uramichi’s dark humor will keep interrupting the show again and again, and thus the editor will have a hard time removing all those scenes before airing the show.

Episode 3 Recap
In Episode 3, the Oniisans teach children the importance of brushing and gurgling regularly. Although there’s a ton of other ways to educate this basic thing, the production company resorted to a cringy role play act.
The episode starts with Uramichi and Iketeru receiving their newly designed costumes of Bacterian and Jerminator. Utano could hardly control her laughter when she saw her senpais on those creepy costumes.
Surprisingly, the play turns out to be a great success among the children so the director decides to make a Part 2 of it. He plans to make Bacterian even more creepy by combining it with Uramichi’s art.
He asks Uramichi to draw creepy faces on a bucket full of balls. I actually feel sad for Uramichi, who was expecting the children to appreciate his hard work, whereas the balls were meant to scare them.
As a reward to Uramichi’s all-nighter, the director gives him the permission to alter the scrip in a way so that Bacterian wins in the end. This was an important lesson for all the children showing them that the good don’t always win.
However, I highly doubt if the production company will forecast this version and may even ask them to reshoot this portion. It seems that Uramichi has finally started taking his job seriously.
What will be Urachimi’s next lesson for the children? We have to wait for the upcoming episode to find that out.
