Fans of Uma Musume Pretty Derby have another great news for themselves. While an anime series was already confirmed this May, Studio Kai has officially confirmed a third season for the canon series.
On November 6, 2022, which marks the second day of the Uma Musume 4th Event, Studio Kai announced that Uma Musume Pretty Derby would get a third season. A trailer for the third season has also been released. However, an official release date is yet to be announced.
As for the previously confirmed Uma Musume Project, more details have been revealed. The name of this project is Uma Musume Pretty Derby: Road to the Top. The series will have Narita Top Road as the protagonist, alongside T.M. Opera O and Admire Vega, who will race to win the Classic.
Uma Musume Pretty Derby: Road to the Top is set to arrive in Spring 2023. Pakatube channel will be streaming the series on Youtube.
A teaser trailer for Road to the Top web series has also been released on the Official Pakatube Youtube channel alongside the Season 3 announcement trailer. CygamesPictures will be working on Road to the Top, while Studio Kai will spearhead season 3.
2022 has kept fans interested with the special “1st Anniversary Animation” released this February and the announcement of the Road to the Top web series.
With a third season confirmed along with the currently running short series Umayuru on Youtube, we are sure the excitement will only grow by the time Road to the Top gets released.

‘Uma Musume: Pretty Derby’ is a Manga drawn by Jet Kuma and storyboarded by Satoshi Itō. Kuma launched it on the Cygames Cycomics website in March 2017. An anime film titled ‘Uma Musume Pretty Derby: Beginning of a New Era’ will open in Japan in May 2024.
It draws a world full of “horse girls” who wish to become the best racers in the world.
To do so, they must train at Tokyo’s Tracen Academy. The story begins with a horse girl being transferred from the countryside, who falls in love with Silence Suzuka’s style and wishes to race in the same team.
