The anime industry was always saturated with idol shows for some reason. Although they aren’t as popular worldwide, their local following is huge. While we see one or two shows about female idol groups each season, shows focusing on male groups are rare.

Tsukipro The Animation was one of the ones that caught people’s attention.

The official website for Tsukipro The Animation 2 announced its premiere on July 7, 2021. The key visual for the upcoming season was also released.

Animes like this are not everyone’s cup of tea. The genre and CG animation were off-putting for many people. That is why the first season of the show received mixed ratings.

There is a good reason why this show has a cult following. This show is not targeted at people from outside Japan who do not understand the Idol culture. Even if you think you would not like it, try to give this a chance, and you might be surprised.
