Trinity Seven is a Fall 2014 anime that concluded its run in December of the same year. The anime is based on the manga of the same name written by Kenji Saitou and illustrated by Akinari Nao. The series received its latest installment in the form of a film in March 2019, which gave fans hopes for Season 2.
Trinity Seven revolves around Arata Kasuga and his home planet’s destruction due to the “Breakdown Syndrome.” All his family and friends disappear, but he manages to recreate an artificial version of his world due to special powers given to him by Hijiri Kasuga, a childhood friend.
Soon, Arata meets Lilith and encounters an opportunity to enroll in a secret magic school called Royal Biblia Academy. There, he meets other magic users and sets off on a mission to restore his town and bring back his loved ones.
On the surface, Trinity Seven seems like a generic ecchi harem. Still, the characters are a gem and make the anime very enjoyable! If you love typical harem plots and don’t mind loads of fan service, be sure to spare some time for Trinity Seven.
1. Release Date
Trinity Seven is yet to get renewed for Season 2. The series received two movies in April and March of 2019 and has disappeared ever since. We expect the anime to resurface by Fall 2022.
Many fans believe that the first season was too short and didn’t justify the story well. The plot became too convoluted at times, and there are still many plot points to be covered. After Trinity Seven’s OVAs and films, rumors of Season 2 started going around, but nothing is confirmed yet.
2. What To Expect From Season 2
In the finale, we see Arata and the Trinity Seven activate their Magus modes after a short discussion, as the school’s Headmasters observe them from above. Their last battle takes place, during which the loop of world creation gets destroyed. We also find out that Hijiri has no physical presence as she collapses into a crystal.
By the end, Lilith and the other girls confess to Arata. The anime stops at chapter 30 of the manga, and Season 2 would continue from chapter 31.
3. About Trinity Seven
The Breakdown Phenomenon caused the sun to stop shining, which led to the destruction of a town and its people where Arata Kasuga lived. Using the magical grimoire given by his cousin Hijiri Kasuga, Arata artificially restores the world.
But not for long as Lilith Asami disintegrates the artificial world while giving Arata choices to either die or hand over the book.
Smartly choosing to join them in building the Trinity Seven of the secret magic school, they embark on a journey to save Hjiri and prevent further destruction of his hometown.
