Trigun Stampede’s New Trailer Reveals More Cast Members

Trigun Stampede has kept us excited since its first look was unveiled. While it is difficult to tell how faithful the series will be to the source material, further additions to the cast have been revealed.

At the Anime NYC event on Friday, Studio Orange and Crunchyroll revealed a third promo video for Trigun Stampede, revealing three more cast members. Apart from this, concept art was also unveiled, originally created as a foundation stone for the project.

Trigun Stampede will premiere on TV Tokyo and other networks in January 2023. Crunchyroll will stream the series worldwide.

The concept art below mentions that the presentation of the upcoming anime was possible only because the manga was completed. The original Trigun anime ran in 1998, and the manga was ongoing at the same time.

Kenji Muto, storyboarder for BEASTARS, will be directing the anime. Tatsuro Inamoto, Shin Okashima, and Yoshihisa Ueda will write the screenplay. Tatsuya Kato will be composing the music for the series.

The characters will be designed by multiple artists, including Kodai Watanabe, Tetsuro Moronuki, Takahiko Abiru, Akiko Sato, Soji Ninomiya, and Yumihiko Amano.

While the original 1998 series had a pace and animation of its own time, it will be interesting to see another Trigun installment in a contemporary style after another 12 years since the 2010 Trigun: Badlands movie.

About Trigun

Trigun is a manga series written and illustrated by Yasuhiro Nightow. Trigun was serialized in Tokuma Shoten’s magazine Monthly Shōnen Captain. It was adapted into a twenty-six episode anime television series by Madhouse and aired from April to September 1998.

It follows the adventures of Vash the Stampede with a 60 billion double dollar bounty on his head. He is accompanied by two insurance agents Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson who minimize the inevitible damages that occur due to his appearance.
