Toradora! is a Fall 2008 anime that ended its run in March 2009. Two specials and one OVA followed the TV series, and it finally concluded in 2011. Ever since the show stopped production, fans have been waiting for Season 2. Toradora is extremely popular and is one of the best romantic comedies out there.
Toradora revolves around the high school love of Ryuuji Takasu and Taiga Aisaka. Ryuuji is a kind and responsible boy; however, his intimidating face makes him stand out as a delinquent. On the other hand, Taiga is a girl with the face of a doll and personality as feisty as a tiger.
The two have an awkward start after Ryuuji learns that Taiga had a sweet side for his best friend Yuusaku while Taiga finds out that Ryuuji had a crush on her best friend, Minako.
Hence, the two oddballs form an unlikely alliance to gain the interest of their respective crushes. Toradora is heartwarming, dramatic, and funny! If you’re a Shoujo fan, Toradora is right up your alley!
1. Release Date
Toradora! Season 2 is yet to be announced. We can expect the series to return by Winter 2022. However, it is very unlikely that the series would get another season. This is because the anime adapted everything from the original light novels within its 25-episode run, specials, and OVA.
There is a slight chance that the series does get renewed. Ever since Netflix has started streaming Toradora, fans are coming back to the anime. If it gets enough support from the fans, Netflix might decide on a second season.
2. What To Expect From Season 2
Toradora Season 1 covered the light novels completely. If we get another season, it could be an anime original season or based on new source material by the author (which hasn’t been written yet).
Season 2 could feature the lives of Ryuuji and Taiga after their high school years. They could meet at a reunion discussing their lives after they parted, which would blossom into a new romance. Otherwise, we could also have a look at their college lives.
It is difficult to predict what would happen next since we don’t have a source material to look at but, the story would be just as impressive as its older installment.
3. About Toradora!
Ryuuji Takasu is a humble high school boy who is often misunderstood as a delinquent because of his stern face. He crosses paths with Taiga Aisaka, a petite doll-like student who is known as the Palmtop tiger for her feisty personality and tsundere nature.
Following an embarrassing accident, they discover that both of them have a crush on the other’s best friend. Despite their mutual dislike towards each other, they form an unlikely alliance that would lead to an unusual romance.
