When the older man makes these words, Shinichiro’s eyes suddenly appear lifeless, resembling those of Mikey after he’s been consumed by Dark Impulses. Shinichiro then repeatedly attacks the older man’s head with a metal rod.
Shinichichiro weeps as he realizes he can no longer travel back in time. On the following day, Shinichiro jumps off a bridge in an attempt to end his life.
When Shinichiro gets to that point, he finds Mikey playing with his favorite plane, the Concorde, a scale model with which he is playing. It is also apparent from this chapter that there is a parallel with the other timelines.
Kazutora also killed Shinichiro with a metal rod in the panels where Shinichiro swung the rod to kill the older man.
Parallels were also drawn between the Bonten arc and this series. In addition to wearing similar outfits, Shinichiro and Mikey attempted to kill themselves in nearly identical panels.
This comparison has left Tokyo Revengers fans wondering why. The only two time-leapers shown in the series (Shinichiro and the older man) were forced to kill to acquire their powers, so Takemichi must have killed someone to gain these powers.
The personality of Takemichi makes it highly unlikely he would resort to violent means, much less kill someone, to save someone else’s life. Tokyo Revengers only seems to allow time-leaping when someone kills someone and is near death.
