The official website for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime novel series revealed a new trailer and a key visual for the anime adaptation of The Slime Diaries spinoff manga.
A wholesome visual has also been released that features the main character who will appear in this spinoff series. Rimuru is enjoying a delicious dessert while reading his diary. Gobuta and Ranga are more interested in the delightful food lying on the table.
Clumsy and confused Shion is about to spill a cup of hot tea on everyone. Shuna and Benimaru are busy quarrelling with each other, while Souei is standing still and doesn’t really care about what happens around him.
However, the trailer video released is only available for viewers within Japan. It features the opening theme of the series, titled “Brand new diary” by Akane Kumada.
Slime Diaries will be much light-hearted and wholesome compared to the original anime. It’s more like a slice of life break between the two cours of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2, that will be airing alongside.
The original anime follows the journey of Rimuru, who gets reincarnated as an overpowered slime, showing us how he gradually got accustomed to his new physique.
In the latest episode of TenSura Season 2, Rimuru was ambushed by Hinata Sakaguchi, a paladin ordered to kill him. Meanwhile in Tempest, the country has been invaded by the Falmuth forces, and citizens fight desperately for their lives.
Fans are now focusing on the next episode, where things will get intensified as Rimuru tries to save his country from outside attacks.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as Slime is a Japanese manga series written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah. It was serialized online in 2013 but was later shifted to Micro Magazine as a light novel in 2014. It currently has sixteen volumes.
Satoru Mikami leads a very ordinary life for 37 years until he is stabbed to death by a passing robber. Upon making requests, Satoru is reincarnated as a slime in another world.
Here, he gains the name of Rimuru Tempest and befriends a True Dragon Veldora. Rimuru sets for a journey to free his friend Veldora from a seal, all the while tackling the challenges this world brings him.
