The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 Ep 4: Release date, Speculation

Episode 3 of The Rising of the Shield Hero took a slower route this time while still keeping things entertaining. It was a welcome relief from the intense action of the Coliseum and what was to come now that Naofumi is looking for heroes for the impending Phoenix fight.

With numerous new demi-humans joining his party and his village finally coming together, things are looking good for the Shield Hero.

Furthermore, the third episode left us on a cliffhanger, but as we wait for the next episode, here is everything you need to know.

1. Episode 4 Release Date

Episode 4 of The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 will be released on Friday, October 27, 2023. It will be released every Friday. Watch The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 on Crunchyroll.

I. Is episode 4 of The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 on break this week?

No, episode 4 of The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 is not on a break and will be released on the above-stated date.

2. Episode 4 Speculation

While Raphtalia wasn’t familiar with the white tiger twins, it’s no surprise that Naofumi bought them anyhow, since he has a soft place for individuals in need. It will be fascinating to see how they impact his party in the future.

Given the staff hero’s interest in Atla, I suspect her eyes will be exceptional or possess some undiscovered power when she ultimately opens them.

With the whereabouts of the Spear Hero now known, I suppose Naofumi will lead his group to him. However, I have a feeling that getting him to return with them may be more difficult than they anticipate.

3. Episode 3 Recap

After a rigged battle, a young demi-human named Fohl goes back to a dungeon to care for his sister, Atla. When Naofumi visits a slave trade in Siltvelt, he is able to discern the difference between actual slaves and imposters who appear to be pleading for his attention.

The Slave Trader shows Naofumi Fohl, who has a remarkable amount of combative skill for his age. He discovers that white tigers are one of the most powerful races. Naofumi examines Atla and decides what potion she requires before healing her in exchange for Fohl’s long-term loyalty.

Naofumi’s party returns to Lurolona Village with the siblings and other slaves. Melty and Naofumi discuss the logistics of maintaining the village, including money, defenses, and raising the children.

Atla heals further, able to take the bandages off, but remains a bit weak and blind as she relearns how to walk. While Naofumi leaves to visit another village, Lurolona is attacked by men who want to steal and sell the demi-human children.

Fohl hides with Atla and manages to release a signal flare Naofumi showed him in case of danger. As the attackers are about to kill Fohl, Naofumi’s party returns to defend the village.

Eclair shows up to help and notices the symbol on the attackers’ armor as one from a noble family, making it impossible to kill them.

Naofumi decides to turn them into slaves and transport them to Siltvelt, where they are exploited. After the incident, Atla expresses her desire to learn to be strong, and he offers to teach her how to protect herself.

Naofumi later resets Sadeena and Fohl’s levels so they can benefit from his hero perks.  Finally, the queen informs Naofumi that they have located the spear hero, Motoyasu.
