The Rising of the Shield Hero 3: First Teaser Reveals October Arrival!

The second season of The Rising of the Shield Hero concluded the Spirit Tortoise arc. Naofumi, Raphtalia, and others will begin a new journey as they prepare for the next Wave against the Phoenix. But a sudden change of events causes them to take a diversion.

On Friday, the production staff released a teaser video for the third season of The Rising of the Shield Hero. It is planned for release in October, with Crunchyroll streaming the series.

In the teaser, Naofumi and others are suggested to visit a place called Zeltoble, where most people are mercenaries. They try to solve the mystery of slaves that have been disappearing. Naofumi and others also try to find the other missing heroes as they enter an underground arena.

The visual below shows the four Cardinal Heroes – Ren, Motoyasu, Itsuki, and Naofumi, with the message “Our Regrets Make Us Stronger”.

Kinema Citrus will continue to produce the animation, with Hitoshi Haga as the new director. Keigo Koyanagi will return to write the scripts and Kevin Penkin will compose the music.

Masahiro Suwa will continue to design the characters, with Franziska van Wulfen and Sana Komatsu joining the team.

A lot of fans were disappointed with how the second season went, but most of them have not given up on it yet. Since the trailer indicates a change in the story, this season could redeem itself and become a favorite once again.

Tate no Yusha no Nariagari or The Rising of the Shield Hero is an isekai light novel series written by Aneko Yusagi. It was initially published as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website from 2012 to 2015.

In August 2013, Media Factory started publishing the light novel series with an expanded storyline featuring illustrations by Seira Minami.

Later on, Kinema Citrus adapted the light novel into an anime television series. The first episode aired on 9 January 2019.
