The Marvels’ Post-Credit Scene Features a Major Character Reveal!

MCU’s new offering, The Marvels, features a major character debut that can have exciting ramifications for the franchise.

In The Marvels, Captain Marvel joins Ms. Marvel and Monica Rambeau to fight the Kree Supremeor Dar-Benn and destroys other worlds to save her own.

However, one of the most exciting moments in the film is the return of a classic Marvel character and the tease of a new team in the MCU.

The Marvels ends with Monica Rambeau sacrificing herself to repair a tear in the space-time continuum, which was causing other realities to bleed into the primary Earth-616 reality.

However, the post-credit scene shows Monica waking up with two new characters beside her. One of them has caused a lot of excitement in the die-hard Marvel circles! Let us explain why.

Monica wakes up in a hospital bed and finds herself being tended to by none other than Hank McCoy’s Beast of the X-Men.

Voiced by Kelsey Grammar, Beast’s appearance in the post-credits is remarkable because it shows us the Pandora’s Box that Marvel Studios is trying to open by combining the Multiverse Saga with the X-Men franchise.

The other character Monica comes across is Binary, a variant of her mother, Maria Rambeau. However, Binary’s thunder is entirely stolen by Beast’s debut in the franchise.

It is also worth noting that the Beast in this film has been created entirely using CGI as opposed to the practical makeup seen in the previous appearances of Kelsey Grammar.

The post-credit scene suggests that Rambeau is now in Fox’s X-Men Universe. Furthermore, it seems like Monica is taken to the X-Mansion because of the presence of the classic X-shaped doors and the themes from X2:X-Men United and Days of Future Past playing in the background.

These are tremendously exciting prospects because of the influx from other universes, along with Deadpool 3, which is set to release in 2024.

Reports suggest that Deadpool 3 will be focused on the destruction of the Fox Universe, and Beast also mentions the name Charles Xavier in the post-credit scene.

Scarlet Witch was responsible for killing both Charles Xavier and Maria Rombeau in Multiverse of Madness, and these tell-tale signs suggest that Monica is indeed inside the Fox Universe.

It seems likely that the Beast will again appear in Deadpool 3, which is rumored to feature heroes from the Fox Universe beyond Reynolds’ Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.

Likewise, we can expect many iconic characters from the Fox Universe to play a major role in Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027. If the film is anything like the comics, it will contain multiple incursions from different universes that will destroy the multiverse.

That being said, there is a possibility that Marvel Studios will introduce a new universe full of X-Men variants that are yet to be introduced. Regardless of what happens, Beast’s introduction is an exhilarating prospect for the die-hard fans and indicates bigger things to come for the franchise!

Got the rare talent to binge an entire show in a single sitting just like that. Although a sucker for psychological thrillers, no bias for any genre when it comes to a good story. A living proof that Netflix and chill is not a myth!
