The Black Clover manga has been announced to be in its final arc for quite a while now, but the so-called end still seems to be quite far away, as the latest chapters are getting quite delayed. Fans, too, are curious to know where the series is headed and how many more chapters to expect in the manga.
In this article, we will reveal everything we know about when the Black Clover manga could possibly end. Furthermore, we will also cover all the available information about the anime, whose sequel is long overdue. This article is spoiler-free, so feel free to read on without any qualms.
When Will The Black Clover Manga End?
No official information about the end of the manga has been revealed yet by the author, Yūki Tabata, or by Viz Media. The manga is confirmed to be in the final arc, but due to the author’s health issues, the serialization is getting delayed, and the manga is currently slow-paced.

The fandom believes that if the manga goes on at its current pace, the series would need another year or two to reach completion. That would mean about 12-20 more chapters. This would certainly not be the case if black clover’s final arc returned to being published under the monthly Shounen Jump, but that seems unlikely at this point.
Yūki Tabata Is Under No Pressure To Finish The Manga
Right before Black Clover entered its final arc, the manga changed from the Shounen Jump magazine to the Jump Giga magazine. This may have been because the author couldn’t handle the work pressure while having health issues. So the manga now releases chapters every three months, rather than every month. Despite this, Yūki Tabata still seems really invested in the manga.
During an interview with Viz Media, the author revealed that his wife is really hooked on his manga, which is one reason why he is really motivated to keep writing. He also revealed that the manga has kept him far too busy, and he has had many sleepless nights to make the manga reach its current status. This meant that he had to sacrifice a lot. He also mentioned that he hadn’t taken a vacation for over three years.
How Will The Black Clover Manga End?
Black Clover has proven to be much like many other generic shounen anime like Naruto and Bleach. This has always been very apparent, and it has also won the anime some dislike from other fandoms for this reason. If the anime follows through with the generic shounen anime style, the ending of the manga will see Asta and Yuno defeating Lucius and the Dark Triad, to finally put an end to the chaos they brought about.

Considering how Asta screams about being the Wizard King in almost every chapter, if the manga ended with Asta not becoming the Wizard King, most fans would be seriously disappointed. So we can expect Asta to win the title of Wizard King from Yuno by a tiny margin.
When Will The Black Clover Anime Return?
So far, there is no information about the potential for the Black Clover anime to return with its sequel. The anime came to an end in 2021 after the completion of season 4, when it caught up to the manga. The anime also saw a drastic reduction in animation quality toward the end. This was because Boruto was airing alongside Black Clover, so the anime obviously didn’t get as many resources as Boruto.

This made it clear that Studio Pierrot wasn’t ready to handle multiple popular anime at the same time, and it is likely still the case. We can only expect any news about Black Clover’s return once Bleach Thousand Year Blood War’s last cour ends, which is when the studio would have more leeway to produce Black Clover.
