It gets the first and second seasons, but what about Season 3 of The Asterisk War? Gakusen Toshi Asterisk is an action anime adaptation based on the same-named light book series. Yuu Miyazaki wrote it, and Okiura drew it. Since the release of volume one, The Asterisk War has become one of the most popular light novels.

It was first published in 2012 and turned into a manga in 2013, all within a year. It only took three years for A-1 Pictures to pick up the series for anime adaptation. Season one of The Asterisk War premiered in Japan on October 3, 2015, with 12 episodes.

It was popular with both old and new fans and was revived for another season. The series’ second season, which included 12 episodes, began a year later.

Is Asterisk War Season 3 Canceled?

There has been no word about the series being canceled, so we presume that Season 3 of The Asterisk War is still in the works. It is hardly a novel situation because numerous anime series deal with similar issues these days. Remember that making anime takes a long time.

There is also no fear of a scarcity of material. So far, 15 volumes have been released between 2012 and 2019. The most recent book is set to be released on November 25, 2021. There are also three volumes of spin-off light novels, so there will be plenty of material for The Asterisk War Season 3 to cover.

As previously stated, the program has not been canceled. Unfortunately, no official word has been made about the release date of The Asterisk War Season 3.

The first and second seasons were produced by A-1 Pictures, which has a hectic schedule. They are working on several series this year, including Sword Art Online, 86, and Kaguya-sama.

There is also anxiety regarding the source material’s sales and the reception of anime adaptations. According to one source, sales have lately fallen since the publication of volume 16. The same source also cited the previous anime season’s dismal reaction.

Season 3 of The Asterisk War may arrive in 2023, but keep your hopes realistic.

The plot of The Asterisk War

The plot centers around Ayato Amagiri, a scholarship transfer student at Seidoukan Academy, a famous school that has recently struggled in terms of performance.

Through a series of circumstances, he comes upon a half-dressed Julis-Alexia von Riessfeld and is subsequently challenged to a duel by her. Julis is a well-known Seidoukan student who has been granted the moniker of Witch of Resplendent Flames. The alleged fight is called off by Claudia Enfield, the student council president.

It is revealed that Ayato has little interest in Festas, an entertainment competition amongst the world’s top six schools. Instead, he enrolls in Seidoukan to locate his lost sister, Haruka Amagiri. Unfortunately for Ayato, he must join Festas to discover the mystery surrounding his elder sister.

The Asterisk War is a Japanese light novel series written and illustrated by Y Miyazaki. Since September 25, 2012, Media Factory has released 10 volumes under the MF Bunko J label.

Invertia was a meteor storm that produced a historic calamity in the twentieth century. It enabled human technology to advance quickly, giving rise to a new breed of super-powered people known as the Star Pulse Generation (Genestella).

The Festas (Star Warrior Festivals) conduct bouts amongst Genestella in “Rikka,” also known as “Asterisk,” a metropolis of six academies. Ayato Amagiri, a scholarship student, transferred into Seidkan Academy to fulfil his own dream, promising that he, too, will battle in this city.
