On June 8, 2024, during a highly anticipated special event for the anime series The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really Love You, the thrilling news of season 2 was unveiled. The series is set to be released in January 2025. The event also excitedly revealed a new teaser visual and fresh cast members.
The 100 Girlfriends definitely exceeded everyone’s expectations as we witnessed Rentaro Aijo go from having close to no experience with women throughout his entire life to getting together with six girlfriends by the end of season one. But as we know, Rentaro somehow needs to meet 94 more soulmates and be their boyfriend before the series comes to an end. Otherwise, they’re pretty much done for. Luckily, the anime is coming back with more action next year, promising more romantic encounters, comedic moments, and unexpected twists.
The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You has officially announced its return for Season 2, set to premiere in January 2025 as part of the Winter 2025 anime schedule. To mark this exciting update, The 100 Girlfriends has unveiled a new poster, introducing the next wave of girlfriends who will cross paths with Rentaro.

The new visual features the series’ protagonist, Aijou Rentarou, the six girlfriends he made in the first season, and four new characters, namely Kurumi Harage, Iku Sutou, Mimimi Utsukushisugi, and Meme Kakure.
Devoted fans might have seen these new girlfriends being hinted at, at the end of the first season, and now it’s been confirmed these new faces will become a part of the 100 Girlfriends. They include Kurumi Harage, who will be voiced by Amane Shindou (Mashiro from BanG Dream! Morfonication), Iku Sutou by Rie Takahashi (Megumin from Konosuba), Mimimi Utsukushisugi by Lynn (Sakura from I want to eat your pancreas), and Meme Kakure by Kanon Takao (Hermit from Edens Zero). The rest of the staff and voice cast from the anime’s first season, who have played a crucial role in bringing the series to life, will return for their respective duties in the second season.

The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You (100 Kanojo) often referred to simply as The 100 Girlfriends is a harem and romantic comedy manga series written by Rikito Nakamura and illustrated by Yukiko Nozawa.
It follows Rentaro Aijo who has confessed to 100 girls and has been rejected by all. As a last resort, he prays at a shrine for a girlfriend during his high school life but due to an error on the side of God of Love, Rentaro is destined to have 100 soulmates.
If Rentaro doesn’t accept a soulmate, she is fated to die in an accident. So, to save their lives, Rentaro decides to have a harem of 100 girlfriends.
