The slime hero Rimuru Tempest will soon return, building his kingdom further and battling old and new enemies. As the franchise completes a decade of its run, including two anime series, the staff has confirmed a new season for next year.
On the day of the final screening of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Scarlet Bond, the staff announced that the third season of the anime will premiere in Spring 2024. It will be broadcast on NTV and other related networks.
A teaser visual for Season 3 has also been released.
The visual features Hinata Sakaguchi in a tense duel-like environment. The person she is facing is not visible in the foreground. However, the sword and the black outfit suggest that the person is Rimuru. Overall, Hinata would likely be an important character in the new season.

As a part of its tenth anniversary, the staff has also announced a project for 2023. Titled ‘That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Coleus’s Dream (Koriusu no Yume)’, this will be a three-part OVA series and is planned for a fall 2023 arrival.
Despite the third season arriving after a year, the OVA series gives us something to look forward to. Moreover, the Scarlet Bond movie is still running overseas, making the wait easier than we think.
