At the very beginning of episode 5, we finally see the details of Yor’s workplace and the guy behind her assassination missions. This time, though, her mission isn’t to assassinate someone; it’s to escort an individual.
At first, she hesitates a bit since she has to make up a cover-up story for her daytime job at the city hall and her family. But after her employer, the “Shopkeeper” assures her about the alibi, she finally takes on the job.
Throughout the episode, Yor considers leaving the job of assassination a lot of times. It only seems like the topic will come back to her again since her client, Olka Gretcher too, talks about getting away from the criminal life and living peacefully.

2. Episode 6 Speculation
Episode 5 ended with a glimpse at the assassin who’s after Shaty Gray, aka Olka Gretcher, the wife of the mafia boss and the person Yor is assigned to protect. One of his hidden microphones throughout the ship gives away Shaty’s true identity to him.
Yor and Shaty were about to return to their room at the end of episode 5, so nothing seems wrong as of now, but who knows what the assassin might be scheming from the dark. Knowing how efficient Yor is in her job, the chances of her failing are definitely low but never zero.
Whatever her chances of success might be, that doesn’t change the high chances of us seeing an assassin vs assassin in the next episode. Can Yor really complete this mission without giving rise to chaos while also staying hidden from the sights of her family? To know that, stay tuned for episode 6.
3. Recap of Episode 5
The very first thing we see in this episode is a glimpse of a place, presumably Yor’s working place, as an assassin. We then meet a very mysterious individual here whom Yor addressed as the “Shopkeeper”.
He tells her that this time, instead of the job being another assassination, it’s actually about escorting someone to someplace. As he assures Yor about the cover-up story, she agrees and takes on the mission.
On the other side, while doing shopping, Loid and Anya come across a lucky draw that has the grand prize of a cruise ship tour. As Anya goes to play the lucky draw, she finds out the real scheme of the event using her powers and easily wins afterward.
After Yor returns home, the family finds out that all of them are going on the same cruise ship, Yor for her city hall work, which is the cover-up for her mission, and Anya and Loid for a vacation.
Back in Loid’s HQ, he is surprised when he gets the vacation very easily after he had something completely different in mind. After all this, the family reaches the port to catch the cruise ship.
After reaching there, Yor splits up from her family to meet the others and the person she’s supposed to protect, Olka Gretcher, who’s using the alias of Shaty Gray now. Once the others from Yor’s organization leave, along with Olka’s bodyguard, the two of them have a little chat about Olka’s past.
But after that, when Olka asks Yor to take her outside, Yor hesitates a bit from considering all the dangers and getting in a bad situation with her family around. Olka then lets Yor borrow some of her clothes to use as a disguise.
As they were taking a stroll outside, in the last minute of the episode, we see a lot of hidden microphones throughout the entire ship that give away the alias of Olka and her room number to an assassin hiding somewhere on the cruise.

Spy × Family is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump.
The story follows a spy who has to “build a family” to execute a mission, not realizing that the girl he adopts as a daughter and the woman he agrees to be in a fake marriage with are a mind reader and an assassin respectively.
Season 2 and a theatrical film are releasing in 2023.
