Spy x Family Mission(Chapter) 27: Release Date, Speculation, Spoilers

Chapter 26, titled “Mission 26” released recently and kept the setting to the Academy. 

It looks like its just that week of the year — EXAM TIME!

1. Chapter 27 Release Date & Highlights

Spy x Family Chapter 27, titled “Mission 27,” is set to release on Sunday, 17th May 2020. The next chapter will be Anya & Loid’s other mission for the World Peace. 

Spy x Family follows a bimonthly schedule and releases every second Sunday in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump.

2. Is Spy x Family On A Break?

No, Spy x Family manga is not on a break or hiatus. We expect the manga to be released as per its bimonthly schedule.

3. Chapter 27 Speculations

Spy x Family does not follow a particular story pattern; however, some events are spread into several chapters.

In all fairness, the next chapter could go either way. The question is, how strong is Anya’s confidence?

On her first day of study, Anya studies the wrong subject (not a very good thing to being a study sesh). Skip to 2 weeks later, Anya was confident.

Now, either this could be a miracle like Anya Forger stopping the bombing and saving her father, or it could very well be the doom of Operation Strix.

In any case, the next chapter is going to be a fun one, like always, so buckle up for some World Peace missions!

6. Mission 26 Plot

Mission 26 starts with everyone getting their test results. While Becky and Damian score good, Anya does not do well. On the upside, now she knows whose mind to read during tests.

Anya is pretty confident at first about the upcoming exams until she realizes that the test is on a full moon day —  only day of the month when her powers don’t work.

She then realizes she ACTUALLY HAS TO STUDY with no tricks this time. It looks like Yor has called her brother Yuri to help Anya study. He is reluctant at first, but after seeing Anya’s earnest effort and her love for Yor, he decides to help her study.

After hours of hardcore studying Yuri is pretty confident, Anya, on the other hand, acts as expected — she doesn’t remember a thing! A frustrated Yuri then leaves the house while Anya decides to study on her own.

Again, after hours of hardcore studying, Anya goes to bed. [Wait, did she really study this time? Well, yes, but…] Loid points out that she studied Foreign Language, which is not one of the subjects for the upcoming exam. CLASSIC ANYA!

Skip to 2 weeks later, it’s the exam time, and Anya Forger is pretty confident while Loid thinks that “Operation Strix is doomed.”

Spy × Family is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump.

The story follows a spy who has to “build a family” to execute a mission, not realizing that the girl he adopts as a daughter and the woman he agrees to be in a fake marriage with are a mind reader and an assassin respectively.
