Spy x Family Episode 22, Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Fiona came to the Forger residency to pay them a visit in episode 21 of Spy x Family, titled “Nightfall/ The First Fist of Jealousy.”

The new waifu is here, and her introduction is just as good as expected. Although we saw her in the previous episode, this is the episode where we finally came to about her.

Her mad love for Loid is borderline obsessive. Her whole world revolves around him. However, the anime showed her in such a way that her love and affection felt real and not cringy.

However, the episode’s highlight is that we finally saw the much-awaited shocked Anya’s face.

Episode 22 Speculations

Fiona and Loid will go out on a mission in episode 22 of Spy x Family, titled “Underground Tennis Tournament: The Campbelldon.”

The next episode will be as hilarious and ridiculous as it can get. Loid and Fiona will play an underground tennis tournament to get their hands on something valuable.

However, the tennis played here is something far from ordinary, and it will be fun to see how the two of them will handle this mission. The episode will be all about tennis as Anya and Yor will also go out to play some tennis.

Episode 21 Recap

Fiona Frost is assigned to lead a side mission with Twilight. She is known for her cold-blooded nature and her obsession with her missions. Her code name is Nightfall.

Yor is sad that she ruined the breakfast again. Just then, Frost knocks on her door. She introduces herself as Loid’s colleague. Yor invites her into the house. Frost wants to remove Yor from the mission as she thinks of her as incompetent.

She tries to manipulate her, but before she can make a move, Anya and Loid return home after their walk. Loid notices Fiona, and the two of them start talking to each other in code language.

Anya is surprised to find that the new lady is a spy too. Fiona argues with Loid regarding different aspects of the mission. Anya reads her mind and finds outs that Fiona is madly in love with Loid.

We find out that Fiona’s ambition is to marry Twilight. She would imagine the scenario if Loid chose her as his wife rather than Yor. Anya is left in deep shock after knowing about all this.

Fiona continuously criticizes the family members. Anya spilled her hot chocolate on the table by mistake. Fiona regrets that Twilight hasn’t trained her well. If she were her mother, she would have turned her into a stellar-spewing machine in one month.

Anya is shocked to read what harsh plans Fiona has for her and decides she doesn’t want Fiona as her mother, no matter what. She goes and hugs Yor telling her how much she loves her.

Yor is overwhelmed. She turns towards Loid and tells him that she will try her best as his wife. Loid replies that she is already doing her best. Seeing Loid smile, Fiona knows it is a fake one.

She leaves. Loid goes after her to give her an umbrella. Fiona feels sad for Loid and is full of tears, but thanks to the rain, her feelings get hidden. She tells Loid that they have to carry out the next mission together.

Fiona wants Loid by her side, but for the sake of the mission, she is compromising for now. She is the only one fit to be his wife. 

After the outro, Anya and Bond are watching TV. Bondman’s penguin dies. Anya is sad and decides to sleep with her penguin that night. Seeing her affection for the penguin, Bond destroys it. Anya tells him that she hates him.

Anya feels very sad, but Loid fixes it for her, and Bond apologizes for his mistake, and they all play happily ever after.

Spy × Family is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump.

The story follows a spy who has to “build a family” to execute a mission, not realizing that the girl he adopts as a daughter and the woman he agrees to be in a fake marriage with are a mind reader and an assassin respectively.

Season 2 and a theatrical film are releasing in 2023.
