Spy x Family Episode 17: Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Yor cooks dinner for Loid and Anya in episode 16 of Spy x Family, titled “Yor’s Kitchen/The Informant’s Great Romance Plan.”

It was a feel-good, no-need episode. We got some development of Yor as a wife. Her determination to make the family happy was cute. Yuri had to help her unwantedly with this, but the process helped them track back their past.

Poor Franky got a crush, but unfortunately, he was rejected. Yor is there for him to comfort his broken hurt. Overall, the episode was good but didn’t help in progressing the plot anyway.

Episode 17 Speculations

Loid and Anya will carry out their separate missions in episode 17 of Spy x Family, “Carry Out the Griffin Plan Fullmetal Lady Omelet Rice.”

Fans are excited about Anya and Damian’s moment that will come up in the next episode. We see Loid talking to someone with blond hair who looks like a new character.

The season has been going on pretty well till now. Episode 16 was kind of a filler episode, but it looks like the next episode will focus on plot progression. I hope that it’s true.

Episode 16 Recap

Yor has been coming home late recently, but Loid doesn’t feel it is right for him to ask her about it just yet. When Yor comes back, Loud notices scratches on her hands. Anya reads Bond’s mind, which shows her mother crying.

After finishing her work, she goes to Camilia’s place with some squeezed tomatoes. It is revealed that Yor asked Camilla to teach her cooking three days ago. All her friends ignore her, but Camilla’s husband tells her that Camilla is a good cook. Thus, she becomes Yor’s cook.

Dominic has called Yuri to be the taste tester. The training begins, and Yor brilliantly fails in all the tasks assigned to her. Even peeling potatoes or cutting meat is a difficult job for her.

Camilla still helps her cook. She makes a disgusting and creepy-looking dish, and Dominic prepares Yuri to taste it. When Yuri tastes it, he just spits it all out but makes it look like he is enjoying the dish.

When Dominic and Camilla taste it, they die (not literally). Camilla tells her to try something her mom used to make. Yor remembers her mother made them Stew Egg one time, they decided to make that.

This time, they made it well. However, Yuri seems something is missing. Camilla pours some cream that belongs to Yuri’s hometown, and what is missing is now there.

After returning home, Yor makes the same dish for Loid and Anya. They are skeptical about eating it, but when they taste it, they are surprised to find the food taste so good. Yor is happy to hear that from them.

She offers them an original dish made by her; after eating that, Loid and Anya end up dead (not literally).

Franky summons Loid to help him with his crush. His crush’s name is Monica McBride.Franky tells Loid all about her, and Loid thinks Franky is a stalker. Loid makes a flowchart for Franky, but it proves to be too big to follow.

Loid disguises himself as a girl to help Franky out with the conversation. After a long hour of practice, he is now feeling confident. He goes to the bookshop where she works.

The Forger family is going out for a walk when they find Franky walking with his head down. When Loid asks him about his date, he makes lame excuses. However, later Loid offers an expensive drink to Franky, and they both sit down to talk.

Spy × Family is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump.

The story follows a spy who has to “build a family” to execute a mission, not realizing that the girl he adopts as a daughter and the woman he agrees to be in a fake marriage with are a mind reader and an assassin respectively.

Season 2 and a theatrical film are releasing in 2023.
