The trailer revealed quite a few new faces, many of whom were said to be S-class hunters from Japan. We also got to see the threat of the mutant ants, which began to hatch and fly out of their nests slowly. The trailer featured several S-rank hunters gearing up for the 4th Jeju Island raid, a raid so horrific that people who participated in the raid years ago are still traumatized.

The New Faces In The Jeju Island Raid Arc

The most important new characters that the Jeju Island Raid teaser revealed were the 11 S rank hunters from the strongest guild in Japan, the Draw Sword Guild. These fights with give us a good idea about the current strength level of the S rank hunters of Korea. Jinwoo’s fight against Goto Ryuuji must be the most anticipated fight among these, and we would likely see this take place in episode 10 of the anime.

What To Expect In The Jeju Island Raid Arc?

The Jeju Island Raid was planned to neutralize the threat of the mutant ants in Jeju Island. These ants started developing wings that made them capable of flight. Since they are now an imminent threat that had to be taken care of at the earliest, the governments of Japan and Korea decided to make an allied effort to fully exterminate the mutant ant threat. This is why Goto Ryuuji along with the other 10 top S rankers in Korea will be joining the raid.

As seen in the trailer, these special troop containing the best S rank and A rank hunters will be despatched to the ant colonies in Jeju Island. Not to burst anyone’s bubble, but this arc will see the death of hundreds of hunters, which is just an indicator of how dangerous of a mission this is. Interstingly, Jinwoo initially declines the request to join the Jeju Island raid, but he eventually joins the forces after quite a few of his allies dropped dead.

Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 10: Release Date, Where to Watch and More

Will Solo Leveling Season 2 Cover The Whole Jeju Island Raid?

No, season 2 of Solo Leveling: Arise has only 3 episodes left to it’s finale, which isn’t enough time for the entirety of the Jeju Island arc to be covered. While the Jeju Island arc will most definitely commence in episode 10, we will likely mostly see the preparation from the hunter side to reclaim Jeju Island.

After the hunters reach Juju Island, it’d be clear that most hunter had severely underestimated the severity of their mission, and many hunter who had perceived their enemies as “just ants” would die, leaving others in horror. The season will likely end with the death of a few characters in the initial phase of the Jeju Island subjugation.
