Kana Akatsuki’s Shunka Shuto Daikosha Gets Second Manga Adaptation!

Kana Akatsuki has been popular for the Violet Evergarden series, which also led to several animated adaptations. Akatsuki’s new novel series, Shunka Shuto Daikosha, has also been gaining popularity since its publication in 2019.

While the original novel series is finished, it has led to a second manga adaptation.

The official website of G’s channel revealed on Monday that another manga series will be released based on the mythological drama. Its title will be ‘Shunka Shuto Daikosha Moka Momoyo’ (Four Seasons Proxies, Hundred Songs, Hundred Leaves).

Yuriko Asami will illustrate the manga. Asami also shared a visual on Twitter that featured Itecho Kangetsu and Sakura Himedaka, agents of Winter and Spring Proxies respectively.

As of now, no release date has been announced. But it will be published online on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker and NicoNico Seiga (under Dengeki G’s comic section).

Before this, another manga was inspired by the series. It is illustrated by Nappa Komatsuda and is published in Hakusensha’s LaLa magazine since July 2022.

The original series, Shunka Shuto Daikosha: Haru no Mai, were published under the Dengeki Bunko imprint in April 2021. It topped the 2022 edition of Takarajimasha’s Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! Magazine’s ‘New Title Category in 2021’. The latest installment, Archer of the Dawn, will be released on January 7.

About Shunka Shuto Daikosha

Shunka Shuto Daikosha is a light novel series by Kana Akatsuki and illustrated by Suo. The first installment, Haru no Mai was published in two volumes by ASCII Media Works under the Dengeki Bunko imprint.

The novels take place in a world where the only season is Winter. Winter lives a lonely existence, and so they create Spring. A short time later, due to the wishes of the land, Summer and Fall are also born, and the four seasons are complete.

The children of human beings are in charge of changing the seasons, and the ones responsible are known as Proxies/Agents of the Four Seasons.
