The second season of ‘The Rising of the Shield Hero’ received mixed reactions, which was unlike the massive success of the first season. This put the possibility of a third season in question which was announced in 2019 along with the second season.
Many fans were holding on to that possibility which became true with the release of the new visual and teaser a few months ago. It was also revealed that the third season would arrive this fall.
On Wednesday, the staff for ‘The Rising of the Shield Hero’ announced that the third season would have early screenings in five countries. The event, also known as ‘The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 World Tour’ will commence in Los Angeles on July 3 and conclude in Japan in October 2023.

I hope the staff took note of what viewers did not like about the second season. It would be disappointing if the third season ended up the same way. This might be the only redeeming chance for the series because no one will want to watch it any further if this season fails as well.
About The Rising of the Shield Hero
Tate no Yusha no Nariagari or The Rising of the Shield Hero is an isekai light novel series written by Aneko Yusagi. It was initially published as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website from 2012 to 2015.
In August 2013, Media Factory started publishing the light novel series with an expanded storyline featuring illustrations by Seira Minami.
Later on, Kinema Citrus adapted the light novel into an anime television series. The first episode aired on 9 January 2019.
