Adapting an anime from a mobile game has become a trend nowadays. Back in December 2019, during the fifth live event for Kadokawa’s smartphone game, Shachou, Battle no Jikan Desu!, it was announced that the mobile game would receive an anime adaptation in 2020 and it did.
From the looks of it, the anime looked like a marketing strategy for the game; to thrive in the market. Although people liked it and are waiting for the next season.
Throughout the article, we will discuss several interesting aspects of the game as well as the possibilities of a second season.
1. Release Date and Announcement
As of now, Kadokawa Games, C2C, or any other company related to the production of ‘Shachou, Battle no Jikan Desu! Season 2‘ hasn’t revealed any information about the release date or such.
The isekai anime series first season ran it’s original run from April 5, 2020, to June 28, 2020, with a few hindrances and delays due to some production problems.
Coming to the next section, we will discuss whether there would be a second season or not, about the game, a look at the studio and the production update.
2. Theory Section
Deluxe Games and Preapp Partners, along with Kadokawa Games as publisher, released the role-playing strategy based game on October 17, 2019. The game was doing just okay, barely surviving, so Kadokawa decided to give it a boost by adapting into an anime television series.
I. Will there be a second season?
The iskeai anime series contained characters that were overly boring and cliched. There was almost nothing new. Following the archetype of several other isekai, the anime manages to dwell in the average section only.
From this, we can infer that the series was just a promotion for the game, a way of marketing that Japan has been currently utilizing to get more fanbase.
It’s highly doubtful that there would be a second season because their intended work is done i.e. the marketing of the game. A new season will only cost more money and time.
II. About the Studio
Kabushiki-gaisha C2C is the animation studio behind this anime series. The animation is a strong point for this one; there are bright colors and cute characters. They all are very well designed.
But the coolest thing is the use of fonts, they particularly stand out and oozes subtlety. It certainly looks like that there was an effort put in during the making of fonts.
3. Production Update
It is highly unlikely that there would be a second season but also keep in mind that the story ended on a ‘But our fight continues‘ route, so there’s a slim chance of a second season happening.
If it happens, Covid-19 sure would be a hindrance as of now, and it most probably will lead to delay of the anime series.

8. About Shachou, Battle no Jikan Desu!
Shachibato!, President it’s time for Battle! is an online free to play role-playing strategy based game developed by Kadokawa, Deluxe Games, and Preapp Partners. It was released in Japan on 17th October 2019.
An anime series adaptation was announced in December 2019 by Kadokawa, and Studio C2C was in charge of the production. The first episode aired on April 5, 2020.
