Generally, it takes 2-3 years for a manga even to announce an anime adaptation, but this one’s a little different from others.

A leak has confirmed that the ‘Sentai Daishikkaku’ manga has been slated for an anime adaptation. The leak has also revealed a teaser visual featuring the protagonist, Footsoldier D or Hibiki Sakurama.

The story’s premise is set 13 years after the Villainous Army invades Earth but is defeated by Dragon Keepers and their weapons, the Divine Tools. After the Dragon Keepers wipe out all the enemies and their top dogs within a year, they use the remaining foot soldiers for entertainment purposes.

Villainous Army’s nameless foot soldiers are pushed into little more than slavery, where they are forced to reenact their defeat at the hands of the heroes. Tired of this cruel and inhumane treatment, Footsoldier D decides to take revenge.

With an anti-hero personality and vengeance on his mind, Footsoldier D becomes Hibiki Sakurama to infiltrate the Dragon Keepers. Hibiki aims to take down the heroes and get justice for their treatment.

Despite debuting in February 2021, the manga is already working towards a TV anime adaptation, proving its popularity.

If you still haven’t tried it, check it out today. However, if you’re not a manga lover, don’t worry, as the franchise will soon reveal an official statement and release date.
