Mashle: Magic and Muscles Anime Season 2 Slated for January Release

Mashle: Magic and Muscles season 1 had ended with episode 12. Just when we thought the antics of our beloved cream-puff head had come to an end for a while, a new season was announced.

This created an instant excitement among the fans who loved watching Mash Burnedead deal with things at his magic school without possessing an ounce of magic. Instead, Mash used his incredible muscle strength to deal with things in the most unexpected and adorable ways.

The sequel was announced along with the trailer and here’s all the information we know so far.

The final episode of Mashle: Magic and Muscles season 1 ended with an announcement that the second season will premiere next January. The new season will cover the Shinkakusha Kōho Senbatsu Shiken-Hen (Divine Visionary Selection Exam Arc).

A new trailer was released for Mashle Season 2, and it looks awesome. We are in store for interesting battles and multiple new characters. From the looks of the trailer, we may also be introduced to a new villain. It would be interesting to see how Mash deals with him!

Tomonari Tanaka would be directing the anime at A-1 Pictures while Yousuke Kuroda of My Hero Academia fame is the script in charge. Hisashi will be designing the characters. While Masaru Yokoyama is the music composer for the anime!

In the new season, we will see Mash and his friends enter the Divine Visionary Selection Exam, but only one of them can come out on top. Mash’s fate is riding on becoming a Divine Visionary, will he be able to achieve his goal? This forms the crux of season 2.

The Divine Visionary Selection Exam is going to be an interesting arc. Mashle musceling his way through villains is going to be engrossing and amusing. It is something you should consider putting on your watch list!

About Mashle

Mashle: Magic and Muscles is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Kōmoto. It was launched in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine in January 2020 and ended in July 2023, with its chapters collected in 18 tankōbon volumes.

Set in a magic world, Mash Burnedead is a young man who was born without magic. In order to live a peaceful life with his adoptive grandfather, he needs to become a Divine Visionary, a title given to exceptional students from the Easton Magic Academy.

Mash goes to the magic school, despite not having any magic, and must survive by only relying on his muscles.
