Doga Kobo’s ‘Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night’ is an original anime work that will also celebrate 50 years of the studio’s existence. The project was announced in March and some details were shared, including a visual featuring one of the characters.
On Friday, the official website for ‘Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night’ revealed a second trailer and a new visual. The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2024.
Just like the first teaser, this video also features live-action footage. However, unlike showing the busy streets of Shibuya, it features a pianist whose face is never disclosed. The new visual is displayed at the end.
You can notice the blonde character on the left that was revealed in the first visual. This time, the dark-haired girl is revealed in the front. Note that there is one more character (the pink-haired one) that is yet to be revealed.
‘Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night’ is set in Shibuya where the girls are wandering. The main staff was previously revealed and is listed below:
|Director||Ryohei Takeshita||Eromanga Sensei|
|Character Designer||Junichiro Taniguchi||Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru|
|Series Composition||Yuki Yaku||Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki|
|Studio||Doga Kobo||Oshi no Ko|
The characters, cast, and plot have not been disclosed as of now. But it looks like a bunch of aspiring artists trying to make it big in Japan. Since we are looking at a lot of showbiz-themed anime lately, I am curious about what industry they will take on.
