The last film in the Final chapter saga, Rurouni Kenshin Saishūshō The Beginning, will be released on June 4. It will give fans a chance to watch their favorite samurai on the big screen one last time!
Moreover, Warner Bros, the studio behind Ruroni Kenshin, is doing all it can to keep the hype up!
Warner Bros on Friday released the “Road To Kenshin ~ Special Edition ~.” The video looks back at all the previous films and contains never seen before behind-the-scenes clips of training and stunts.
The 17-minute video delves deep into how the director Keishi Ōtomo filmed the stunts such as Kenshin sprinting on the tiled roof and his fight against the arms dealer Enishi Yukishiro.
The video also contains interviews with series lead Takeru Satoh who explains his training patterns for the film.
The official website has also announced the release of “Rurouni Kenshin X Edition,” a special edition compilation book, to commemorate the completion of the Rurouni Kenshin series.
The unique collection will include posters, other promotional materials, character designs, costume designs, and original artwork. The compilation is meant to give fans a complete look into the world of Kenshin with storyboards and pictures.
X Edition will be available for purchase on June 4, which is the screening day of the final film “Rurouni Kenshin Final Chapter The Beginning.”
The “X” in the name is meant to have a double meaning, with the Roman numeral X representing the ten years and the cross wounds on the cheeks, which is the trademark of the Kenshin series!
The Rurouni Kenshin X EDITION will be available at 2,800 yen at every screening theatre in Japan.
With all these efforts by the studio, we can’t wait for the Kenshin saga to hit theatres on June 4!
