The last episode of Reincarnated as a Sword, as fun as it was to watch, disappointed me by ending with a cliffhanger. At the end of the episode, we are introduced to a new villain – a necromancer named Jean du Vix. The episode ends before we learn anything more about him.

Episode 13 Speculation
There will be no episode 13, and if there is, it will be the first episode of the second season. Episode 12 introduced Jean du Vix, a necromancer who attacked Fran as she was flying to the floating island using Shishou and air telepathy.
In the next season, we will learn more about this villain, and see a beginning of Fran’s new adventure as she fights him on her journey to the Floating Island. With her new skills and armor, it should be an interesting and dynamic fight.

Episode 12 Recap
The bird was Tarua, a familiar party member who guides the group to other members held captive by the Trickster Spider and her offspring. Fran battles the Trickster Spider while they save them.
When Kinan and Flamia, a male and female Black Cat she had fostered, sought to become adventurers and were killed, Amanda recalls how she had refused to teach them how to fight because she didn’t want them to get wounded.
She destroys the Trickster Spider because she is determined not to let Fran die but infuriates Fran by destroying its crystal. Klimt grants Fran permission to visit Ulmutt after the dungeon is cleared, and she is promoted.
Fran receives new armor from Garrus; Shishou is incensed that it reveals her stomach, but he demonstrates how it shields her with a force field. Garrus claims he is traveling a different path to Ulmutt. Fran ultimately calls Amanda Mama, making Amanda realize she is Kinan and Flamia’s child, and the guild bids Fran farewell.
Klimt discusses August’s father’s hiring of a person to administer the spiders’ evolution potions with his nephew, Tarua’s proprietor. Tarua decides Fran is not a spy despite her remarkable strength and she has solid morals. Fran rode Shishou through the air before being knocked to the ground and met by the necromancer, Jean du Vix.
About Reincarnated as a Sword
Also known as TenKen, it is a Japanese light novel series written by Yuu Tanaka and illustrated by Llo. It started as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in October 2015.
The plot revolves around a person who finds himself in another world reincarnated as a sword after dying in the human world. He has no recollection of his name but weirdly remembers everything else from his life as a human. Accepting his fate, he looks for someone who can own him.
A catgirl slave named Fran soon discovers the sword, uses it to kill a two-headed bear, and gives it the name “Teacher”. The duo then embarks on an adventure.
