Cordelia stands strong against the Lnu army in chapter 208 of Vinland Saga, titled “Thousand Year Voyage Part 17.”

The whole chapter was dedicated to her rebirth as a strong person. It was drawn like a dream sequence where kid Cordelia talks to her mother and tells her about her inner turmoil and fear. 

Her mother gives her the strength and necessary motivation to stand tall and fight for the right things. With her mother’s help, Cordelia can finally shed off her fears and protect Gudrid, who successfully gave birth to her first child.

3. Chapter 209 Discussion 

Ga’aoqi might clash with Thorfinn in chapter 209 of Vinland Saga titled “Thousand Year Voyage Part 18.” 

Getting scared of Cordelia, Ga’aoqi leaves her and decides to go somewhere else. But where? He will probably meet Thorfinn, and the two will engage in an intense battle.

Ganglati, Styrk, and Ivar notice a huge fire at some place in the village and decide to check out what is happening there. We then see kid Cordelia sitting in a crouched manner. Her mother arrives, and she rushes to embrace her. 

She tells her mother that she is scared of the bullies. She feels she is too coward to live in the world. She regrets not dying with her mother and being the only survivor of the shipwreck that killed her mother. 

Her mother tells her she is not a coward but a very strong girl. She tells her daughter that she has grown to become a kind child and that true strength is born from a strong heart. 

We see a little montage of how Cordelia’s mother saved her life and ended up drowning deep in the ocean. Her mother tells her to stand up strong as she will be reborn soon. 

A child’s cry can be heard. Her mother tells her that these are the sounds that are celebrating the new Cordelia. Gudrid successfully gave birth to her first child. Hearing the baby’s cry, Cordelia stands up.

The Lnu men are shocked he is not dead even after getting pierced by so many arrows. Cordelia stiffs her back, making the arrows fall down. She grabs the door with both her hands and declares that she won’t allow anyone to get past the door. 

Ga’aoqi stabs her with his spear but is shocked to see that she doesn’t even flinch. He tells his men to leave the house and moves forward. When his men inquire, he tells them that even if they all attacked the big man at once, he wouldn’t have died. So, it is better to leave them alone.
