Rimuru’s summit with Luminus was successful. However, there is a brand-new trouble waiting for them. There is suddenly a shortage of coins, and somebody has purposefully targeted Tempest.
The festival’s second day also kicks off with the tournament in full swing. With eight contenders in total, the main part of the tournament has begun. Here are some latest updates.

3. Chapter 113 Speculation
Now that all the contenders have been revealed, the tournament will begin. We will see them fighting against each other to win. This round is the apex of the tournament, so everyone will have to give their best.
Masayuki has not revealed his powers yet, and Rimuru suspects he is bluffing. We will find out about that as well.
The issue of the coin shortage will be addressed after the festival, so we might not see that. However, we might find out who purposely engineered the whole mess. They might also have other plans to jeopardize Tempest.
4. Chapter 112 Recap
Rimuru and Lady Luminus make plans to host a cultural exchange event between Tempest and Lubelius. Rimuru wonders if vampires don’t get hurt by sunlight anymore. Lady Luminus reveals that they overcame that weakness, giving them the name Overcomers. She also suggests that Rimuru should take the researcher Overcomers to Tempest and educate them. In exchange, she offers to teach Rimuru the “secret of faith and favor.” Rimuru is interested in this skill that allows people faithful to him to harness some of his powers.
Both Rimuru and Lady Luminus come to an agreement that is leaning in favor of Lady Luminus, but it is still fruitful. He has lunch with Hinata and Yuuki, and they talk about their time here. While Hinata and Yuuki engage in friendly banter, Rimuru eats in peace. The festival is off to a good start.
Mjollmile reveals there is a shortage of coins. Rimuru suggests that they should convert Clayman’s treasure. However, the Tempest merchants are refusing to convert it. They cannot protest against it either since the merchants’ demands fall under Western law.
Diablo thinks this is all engineered by someone on purpose. Shion is confused, however, as opposing Tempest will lead to a more significant loss for the Council. While Shion and Diablo discuss, Rimuru asks Mjollmile to deal with this to the best of his ability, to which he cheerfully agrees. Rimuru decides to take them all out to enjoy the festival as a break.
The next morning, Rimuru wakes up hungover after drinking the entire night. He begs Raphael to make his hungover better. The festival’s second day begins with the battle tournament in full force. MC Soka announces the contenders that will be participating in the tournament. She introduces Masayuki and Mad Wolf. Rimuru asks Souei about Masayuki’s performance in prelims. Souei reveals that he won, but probably through connections.
Rimuru assumes that Masayuki either does not want to reveal his powers or the powers are just a bluff. The other contenders are Gaiye, Bovix, and Equix. All these people are here because of Rimuru’s offer. The anonymous lion-masked guy is also there. Gobta and Geld will also be participating. With all the players in the ring, the tournament is set to begin.
