I think we will stay at Jouto for some more time. The ceremony is quite long, so Shin will probably have some more time to enjoy with his old pals. I guess it will be all happy-happy for the next chapter as well.

Many readers are guessing that Shin will probably go to Hyou’s grave in the next chapter. If that is true, then we are in for some emotionally charged moments. Some are even guessing that Shin will propose Kyoukai in the next chapter. Well, as far as we would love that to happen, I think it is too soon for that.

4. Chapter 767 Recap

Shin, Kyoukai, and Kyou Rei reach Shin’s hometown Jouto Village. As they reach the village, they see people already gathered around, standing in long queues.

Between the long queues, enter Bihei and his newlywed wife. Everyone rejoices and celebrates, congratulate Bihei on his marriage. Shin gets dressed up to complete the rituals. Bihei gets overwhelmed after seeing Shin.

Everyone is impressed by Kyoukai’s outfit. Shin blushes after seeing her. Bihei’s father sheds tears of happiness as he is unable to believe his son got married to a beautiful bride.

Shin meets his old acquaintances, old grandmas, and grandpas, who were all a part of Shin’s childhood. They ask him if he remembers them. He remembers them well, and they are glad to hear that.

All the kids gather around him. A guy who used to be a slave was now a village hero. The mayor’s family shows up, and they are quite awkward around him, but Shin goes to talk to Yuu.

Yuu is not happy that Shin returns only to attend a wedding. Shin learns that Yuu injured his leg on the day Hyou died, and he was unable to join the army. He is upset that he wasn’t able to fight alongside him.  

Shin starts talking to Yuu, telling him how he would have died if not for Yuu beating some sense in him. It was because of him that Shin met with Sei and began his journey.

So, he thanks Yuu for all that. Yuu starts crying while hugging Shin. He tells Shin that he should have come earlier to meet them. Shin apologizes.
