4. Chapter 7 Recap

Chihiro was assaulted by two new foes in the previous chapter of Kagurabachi. However, a mystery sorcerer came to his aid and used physical strength to eliminate one of the sorcerers. The other sorcerer fled the scene after recognizing him as a colonel.

Later, it was revealed that the man’s name was Azami, and he was a friend of Rokuhira’s. Azami was a member of Kamunabi, a government-sponsored organization that attempted to eliminate possible dangers to the nation. The chapter also revealed Shiba’s previous employment with the Kamunabi.

Azami informed Shiba that the Kamunabi’s higher-ups wanted to speak with him about Chihiro’s enchanted weapon and Char. The chapter went on to explain that just a few people, including Azami, were aware of the existence of a seventh enchanted sword.

While it was considered a threat to the nation, Azami didn’t tell the Kamunabi because he understood Chihiro’s position. That being said, he admonished the protagonist for using the blade in public.

Later, he mentioned how the big shots of the underworld were going to hold an auction in a month’s time. One of the six enchanted blades forged by Kunishige Rokuhira, called Sinuchi, was to be sold in the auction. Interestingly, the seller was none other than Genichi Sojo.

Given that Sojo was accompanied by both Sinuchi and Cloud Gouger, Chihiro believed that there was a clear link between him and Hishaku. The chapter ends with Azami warning both Chihiro and Shiba to brace themselves for what is to come.
