Tara goes out with a bang in episode 17 of ‘Ragna Crimson’ titled “My Comrade.” Tara barely manages to survive combined attacks of Starlia’s Troop and Ragna. However, this is where it ends for him, but he decides to take down the enemy with him.

2. Episode 18 Speculation

Ragna has no time to catch a breath as Kamui’s arrival has stunned everyone. However, his body refuses to cooperate after he pushed himself too far. Despite Crimson’s warning, Ragna using Silverine Battle Arts must have been a confirmation that he was the Reaper that summoned Kamui to the battlefield.

Starlia was beheaded, but she appeared to be alive towards the end, calling out to Ragna. This means she is not dead yet or has passed her consciousness to Ragna. We will find out how the battle turns out and if Ragna makes it out unscathed.

3. Recap of episode 17

Shin regains consciousness and watches as Ragna rushes to fight, feeling left behind. Meanwhile, Starlia attacks Tara using everyone’s power and hands the powered-up weapon to Ragna. Ragna attacks Tara, but Tara blows himself up instead.

Tara informs Zora that he will die soon, and Zora almost gives in to his guilt, but Tara’s parting words make him pull himself together and act as a commander again. Zora takes his leave, and Tara blows himself up to take down everyone in the vicinity.

Ragna tries his best to contain the blast, but if he fails, everyone will die. Starlia decides to support Ragna while the rest of the troop takes care of leftover enemies. Ragna uses Silverine Battle Arts and lets Starlia take control.

Starlia catches a glimpse of Ragna’s future self and gets upset. She proposes that he should part ways with Crimson and join her, and she will make sure he does not end up lonely. Ragna is touched, but he collapses immediately. 

Fu finishes the magic circle, and everyone gets enveloped in the teleportation magic. However, Kamui shows up and beheads Starlia in an instant. Ragna’s rage is unmeasurable, and he is reminded of Crimson being wary of Kamui, calling him an anomaly.

Crimson’s suggestion was to fight Kamui after killing Ultimatia, but Ragna cannot remember why. Ragna barely has time to defend himself in such a fast-paced match, and his body gives up. However, he wakes up confused to Starlia calling his name.

Ragna Crimson is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Daiki Kobayashi.

The story follow Ragna, who is a dragon hunter along with his partner, the strongest dragon hunter Leo. He didn’t have much talent at hunting dragons but he had decided to entrust his whole life for her. However he was shown the feel of true despair by his future self on what would happen if he stays weak as he is now.

With those visions, dragon hunter Ragna embarks on a revenge-fueled quest to eliminate that threat once and for all.
