Quicksilver will be coming back in MCU!

Quicksilver may appear again in future Marvel movie.

There are some rumors that Marvel’s speedster Quicksilver aka Pietro Maximoff will appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As part of MCU’s phase 4, a Doctor Strange sequel is coming out. Buzz is that Quicksilver may appear in Doctor Strange: Madness of Multiverses. Scarlet Witch, his sister also is set to appear in the movie which strengthens the rumors too.

The original Quicksilver was the part of X-men, and Fox Studios owned the rights to the character. The $72 billion deal between the Fox and Disney has now bought the rights back to Disney.

The real reason they had to kill off Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron was the dispute with Fox. Disney could use one of the characters between the Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver. So, they chose to keep Scarlett Witch in the MCU.

Fox studios already cast their version of QuickSilver in the X-Men movies, which could create confusion among the people. The Mutants were the part of Fox Studios; therefore, Marvel and Disney could not use the word Mutants. The Avengers: Age of Ultron director shot an alternate ending where Quicksilver was alive, but Marvel finally decided to kill him.

What’s the play now?

Following the Disney-Fox Merger, the Disney has now rights of all the X-Men characters including mutants and Quicksilver.

The mystery is how is Marvel going to explain the killing of Quicksilver earlier. They may cover it up with some multiverse or alternate timeline thing. The concept of the multiverses and alternate timelines exist in MCU.

Fans would love to see Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch fighting alongside again busting up some villains in the future MCU.
