The Prince of Tennis is a long-standing sports anime franchise. However, its new 3D CG movie recently announced that it will feature a rap battle!
A rap battle in such a serious sports anime sounds shocking, but the creators have somehow fit it in.
Creators of the series are trying to experiment with a time-warp sequence as well! Ryoma will train in America just to find himself in the middle of an unseen mess.
The Ryoma! Rebirth: The Prince of Tennis Movie will premiere in Japan on 3rd September. The movie will have two different theatrical versions.
A new visual focusing on the main characters of both versions was revealed.
The first version is called “Decide”, and it will focus on the captains of Seigaku and Rikkai teams: Kunimitsu and Seiichi, respectively.
The second version is titled “Glory”, and it will focus on Keigo Atobe and Kuranosuke Shiraishi, the captains of the Hyotei and Shitenhoji teams.
Ryoma will arrive in America as the film starts, but some unusual circumstances will lead him to time-travel to the time when his father was still a tennis player. Romi Park will play a new character called Emerald. It will be interesting to see how all these diverse elements tie up in the film.
MoviTicke cards with the main visual of the film will be released. Seven metal badges featuring the main characters will be randomly distributed.
