Popular Youtuber IShowSpeed gets banned from PlayStation for offence

Youtuber Darren Jason Watkins Jr, popularly known as IShowSpeed, has had several controversies surrounding him. He is known for his joyful reactions and is now subject to fresh controversy again.

Earlier this month, IShowSpeed’s PlayStation account was temporarily suspended for “inappropriate behavior in LittleBigPlanet” that his younger brother was playing. His account has been permanently banned as sharing credentials is against PlayStation account policies.

IShowSpeed initially opened the mail during the January 16^th live stream, wherein PlayStation mentioned that they had temporarily disabled his account.

The offense was committed while playing the PlayStation-exclusive title LittleBigPlanet. However, IShowSpeed was baffled because he had never heard about the game.

His younger brother Dian immediately admitted that he was responsible for suspension of the account as he had uploaded some form of an inappropriate sticker that caused the ban.

IShowSpeed responded in a very IShowSpeed way by raging at his younger brother, saying that he should not have logged into his account and instead used his account to play the game.

The temporary suspension lasted three days and ended when IShowSpeed went live for the broadcast. However, he did not realize that sharing PlayStation passwords is a breach of PlayStation’s Terms of Service.

The support pages by Sony suggest that Players never reveal their login credentials to anyone. And now IShowSpeed has been permanently banned. It remains to be seen what steps he takes to reverse the ban and what stance PlayStation and Sony take, given that he is such a big celebrity.
