Pokemon: The Series Releases Sneak-Peak/Premiere Video

The Pokemon franchise as we all know has been something of a blockbuster since its early release in 1997. With the finale of the Sun and Moon season, Pokemon announced that the new anime would be a fun reboot.

Ash will be going back to his origins and starting the new journey with all the experience accumulated so far. Not only that another protagonist, named Gou, will be in the anime. Since then, Pokemon franchise has kept the hype to the sky by teasing new information every day. Recently, however, they outdid themselves.

Poke-franchise released a teaser video as an exclusive premiere that allowed the fans a sneak-peek into the new season. Fantastic’ would be an understatement for that 24-minute long video. It gave us a peek at Ash’s new journey, his meeting with the second protagonist Gou and the legendary pokemon Lugia. We also saw the new Team Rocket, their resemblance to the initial versions made us nostalgic.

The teaser video starts by taking fans to a roller coaster ride of Ash’s journey so far. We see Ash getting up late and ending up with a Pikachu. His remarkable adventure and camaraderie with Brock, Misty and the characters that followed; to finally his first league level victory in Sun and Moon.

Then came the shots from the new season. As Ash and Professor Oak go to Sakuragi Research Centre, we see Gou with a digital analyser waiting for a pokemon – Lugia. This leads to Ash’s first encounter with Gou and their ride of the legendary pokemon. From the video, it seemed pretty much like Ash and Gou were trying to protect Lugia by none other than the Team Rocket (like that’s ever getting older!). Video ended with going further into the past before the first season hence teasing Pikachu’s back story when he was just a pichu.

About Pokemon:

Pokemon first released in 1996, is set up in a world where humans catch monsters and store them in pocket-sized poke-balls, thus the name Pocket Monsters or Pokemon. They are creatures with an affinity to certain elements and some superhuman abilities related to that particular element. Revolving around a teenage boy Ashe Ketchum, it takes us through his journey to becoming the most accomplished Pokemon trainer the world has ever seen.
