The year 2022 is a lucky year for all Pokemon fans with the talk about the anime’s 25th season being in the air.
Before we get into that, let’s indulge in some nostalgia. Pokemon has been a core memory for many millennials and Gen-Z worldwide. The series has had a huge cultural impact that has made it a childhood favorite for us all.
Even if some of us stopped watching the series as we grew up, we can’t help but get excited whenever we see a Pokemon plushie or some other merchandise. Similarly, this news is bound to get us all excited.
The Pokemon Company International has revealed a trailer for the anime’s 25th season, Pokemon Ultimate Journeys: The Series, confirming its premiere this year.
The trailer introduces us to Ash, the franchise’s protagonist, along with Goh, Chloe, Team Rocket, and more. The hilarious part is the new Team Rocket taking up the classic Jessie, James, and Meowth’s limelight.
Moreover, the video focuses on various ghost Pokemons, with Goh affirming his aim to know more about them. It shows multiple adventures of Ash and Goh, like meeting new people, Pokemons, and battling various new opponents.
Netflix will be streaming the anime worldwide in English-subbed and dubbed versions on its platform. The company will reveal more information on subtitled and dubbed languages soon.
Somewhere along the way, Pokemon became a comfort anime for me, and I’m sure it’s the same for many others. Maybe it’s the fact that each Pokemon is different and has relatable traits that makes it so refreshing and relatable to watch.
Needless to say, I can barely wait for the upcoming season, and I hope they give us a release date soon.
Pokémon was first released in 1996 and is set up in a world where humans catch monsters and store them in pocket-sized poke-balls.
They are creatures with an affinity to certain elements and some superhuman abilities related to that element.
Revolving around a teenage boy Ash Ketchum, Pokémon takes us through his journey to becoming the most accomplished Pokémon trainer the world has ever seen.
