This means Mirai will have to make a tough choice. He gets to keep either the red arrow or his wings. Hoshi wants him to pick wings, but he chooses red arrows. Yoneda asks Nakaumi if he has killed Saki, and he says he hasn’t.

Saki tells Nakaumi that she would die to keep Mirai alive. She doesn’t want to die, of course, and Nakaumi would be killing someone who wants to live if he shot them. Yumiki also tries to persuade him to be a kind boy.

Yoneda shoots a white arrow at Mirai again, and this time Saki picks Mirai up and saves him. The God candidates have broken free, and Nakaumi has betrayed Yoneda. Temari has taken Nakaumi’s white arrow and shoots Yoneda with it.

Nasse saves Yoneda because Mirai would be unhappy if he were killed. This restores Nasse to her special rank. Nakaumi says he believes Yoneda to be correct, but he still decided that ending the life of someone who wants to live can’t be right.

Yoneda now understands that he’s been a fool. He went about his interactions all wrong. Yoneda asks the others to do as they please, and it looks like Yoneda is going off to die. Mirai tries to convince him that he did it all for humanity.

Looking at how dejected Yoneda looks, Nakaumi offers to become the God candidate and tell him the truth somehow. All the god candidates agree, and Nakaumi becomes God. The candidates lose their wings and arrows.

He asks if they want to keep their memories, and everyone but Temari accepts. Nakaumi says he’s erased the memories of the gold selection process from everyone’s mind. Nakaumi says goodbye and merges into God.

As God vanishes, Hoshi looks very confused to see Yoneda. Temari is confused too, and Yoneda tells her she is his assistant.
