MAPPA to Animate One Punch Man’s Upcoming Season 3

One Punch Man might be more of a comedy and unserious anime, but its animation surely isn’t. The studio goes hard whenever they have to animate a fight sequence, which is why people love this anime so much.

Recently, the franchise revealed that the anime has been renewed for another season but didn’t share more details on it.

However, a trusted source has leaked that MAPPA will animate the third season of the One Punch Man anime.

This is probably one of the biggest news from the franchise, but it’s still not confirmed by an official source. Considering it’s from Shonenleaks, it’s most likely true but let’s wait for an announcement by MAPPA or the franchise before we celebrate.

The ones who are not happy about this are probably the animators at MAPPA. The company is acquiring popular titles from big franchises almost every day now, and I can only imagine the kind of conditions they’re working in.

Coming back to the season, we’ve received a teaser visual featuring Saitama and Garou facing each other. We are yet to witness a thrilling fight between the two, and it looks like season 3 will have plenty of it.

The season will continue with the Monster Association arc, which means that Garou isn’t the only threat that heroes should be worried about. Monster King Orochi might make a move anytime, and when he does, the whole world will become wreckage.

Although we have Saitama on our side, Orochi still looks like a formidable opponent. Do you think Orochi will give Saitama a worthy fight? Or will Saitama defeat him with a single punch too?

MAPPA has a lot on its plate currently, with AOT’s finale, Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, Vinland Saga, and more. I’m not sure how the One Punch Man anime will work out, but I know it will be amazing.

Although, I have to admit that I’ll miss the old animation styles by Madhouse and J.C. Staff.

About One Punch Man

One-Punch Man is a Japanese superhero webcomic created by the artist One in early 2009. It has a manga adaptation illustrated by Yusuke Murata, as well as an anime adaptation. Following its publication, the webcomic quickly went viral, surpassing 7.9 million hits in June 2012.

On an unnamed Earth-like supercontinent planet, powerful monsters and villains have been wreaking havoc in the cities. To combat them, the world’s government created a Hero Association that employs superheroes to stop them. The heroes are ranked from Class C to Class S.

Saitama, an unassociated hero, hails from the metropolis of City-Z and performs heroic deeds for his own entertainment. He has trained himself to the point where he broke his “limit” and can effortlessly defeat any opponent with a single punch while slaying monsters the same way. But he is now bored with his omnipotence and frustrated by sensing he lacks a challenge.
