Episode 1088 of ‘One Piece’ is titled “The War on the Island of Women! A Case Involving Koby the Hero.” In this episode, the Amazon Lily Island is attacked.
After Marco hitches a ride with Shanks’s crew, he flies away to the nearby Island. Before Luffy left Wano, Marco met with Jimbei and the Straw Hats to bid them farewell—the Marines and Blackbeard’s crew attacked the Island of Women.
Both forces are hunting for Boa Hancock, and the Marines have multiple Pacifistas with them. The Pacifista easily outpower the Island’s defenses and break through.

2. Episode 1088 Speculation
Blackbeard and the Marines have invaded the Island of Women. The Pacifista possesses too much strength for the Island to defend against. However, the Marines are in a tight spot now that Blackbeard has taken hold of Hancock.
Without Hancock’s beauty, Blackbeard taking her power would not make sense. Moreover, Hancock has already petrified multiple members of Blackbeard’s crew. Blackbeard will likely try to torture or force her into undoing her ability.
However, Koby the Hero is also on the Island trying to rescue Hancock. Using the power of the Pacifista, Koby will likely force Blackbeard away.
3. Recap of Episode 1087
As the island approaches, Marco takes flight from Shanks’s ship and bids them farewell. Before the Straw Hats left Wano, Yamato told Luffy and the others she would stay there. The fight with the Marines is what convinced Yamato that she must stay.
Now that Kaido is gone from Wano, other pirates will start targeting it. Shanks had saved Wano from this attack, but Yamato will rescue them next. Marco had also seen Luffy and Jimbei saying goodbye before flying away. Marco also told Luffy that Ace would be proud to see how far he’s come.
At Amazon Lily, Bancock whines about not being able to marry Luffy. A few weeks ago, Marines had invaded the Island and shot down the gates. However, the women soldiers of the Island managed to fend off their initial attacks.
Yamakiji leads the attacks, waiting for Hancock to show herself. A pirate ship approaches from behind the Marines and shakes the seas. Blackbeard and his crew prepare to board the Island of Women. Blackbeard searches the Island for Hancock, taking out all the Marines.
Koby asks Hancock to come with the Marines, promising not to hurt her. Blackbeard notices a large portion of his crew getting beaten by a single child. After seeing the tattoo on the child’s chest, Blackbeard realizes he’s a Pacifista.
The two continue fighting, which covers the town in flames and destruction. Hancock steps out to see Koby, flipping her hair and making all the Marines swoon. Hancock fires Slave Arrow, which hits all the Marines, turning them into stone.
The Pacifista begins attacking while Koby tries to stop them. Hancock rushes in to kick Koby, but she gets sucked in by Blackbeard’s darkness. Blackbeard nullifies Hancock’s powers and announces he wants to take her Devil Fruit ability.
