After several huge events in the chapter, the last part of the silhoutte of a man walking through the forest, with a giant grizzly bear staring at him. The fact remains that this man is just as much of a mystery now as he was back then, and no one knows his motives. It isn’t confirmed that they’re the same people as well, they’re believed to be the same because of their similar hair and hats. Here’s what we think about him:

I. Is The Man Actually Kawamatsu?

Kawamatsu is a kappa, and a fisherman who was an important character in the manga quite a while back. We believed this because the shape of their hats and hairstyles show quite the resemblence. Kawamatsu even wears a cloak!

While the man in chapter 1132 could possibly be Kawamatsu, there is no way that the man talking to Crocus in chapter 631 could be Kawamatsu. This was because Kawamatsu was imprisoned by the beast pirates during that period, until Luffy saved him.

II. The Man Could Possibly be Shiki

Most fans are of the opinion that the man who was talking to Crocus in chapter 631 was Shiki. This was because the official colored spread of the chapter revealed that the man had yellow hair similar to that of Shiki.

This is more likely than Kawamatsu. Chapter 1132 ended with a word of warning, asking visitors to leave the island, suggesting that something unsafe was appraching. If the man is Shiki, then a warning being issued is not surprising at all. This suggests that Shiki could be one of the main antagonists of the arc, if not Loki.

Other fan theories suggest that this man could be Scopper Gaban, or Yorki-Brook’s former captain of the Rumbar Pirates, however, these individuals greatly differ from the man talking to Crocus in chapter 631, so we’ll be overlooking them.
