The anime is currently going through a thrilling Wano Country arc filled with action and humor. Kaidou, the primary antagonist in this storyline, is renowned as the world’s strongest creature, and only Oda knows how our protagonists will take him out.

The Wano Country arc will also mark the 1000th episode of One Piece anime, and Toei Animation released a key visual to celebrate the milestone.

The visual features our favorite protagonist, Luffy, going against the terrifying Governor-General of the Beasts Pirates. Both of these characters seem fierce and determined to take the other one down.

The anger and resentment for each other are very apparent between the two, along with mutual acknowledgment of the other’s powers. Kaidou may look down on Luffy as a small fry, but he knows better than underestimating him.

Even after butting heads with one of the Four Emperors and losing all those times, Luffy continues to challenge Kaidou in the hopes of winning one day. I sense an epic battle incoming, and something tells me Oda is planning one for the 1000th episode.

The year 2021 also marks the 100th volume of the One Piece manga for which the franchise planned a lot, like the short drama ‘WE ARE ONE.’ We can only expect grand celebrations for the 1000th episode as well.

As the Battle of Onigashima comes closer to getting animated, it’s getting more challenging to keep the excitement in for long. It might even mark the end of Kaidou and the Beasts Pirates’ terror and bring peace back to the region.

The manga folks know what’s in store for us, and the anime watchers should brace themselves for the upcoming thrills and goosebumps.

About One Piece

One Piece is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since July 22, 1997.

The man who had acquired everything in this world, the Pirate King, is Gol D. Roger. The final words he said at the execution tower were “My treasures? If you want it, I’ll let you have it. Look for it; I left all of it at that place.” These words sent many to the seas, chasing their dreams, headed toward the Grand Line, in search of One Piece. Thus began a new age!

Seeking to be the greatest pirate in the world, young Monkey D. Luffy also heads toward the Grand Line in search of One Piece. His diverse crew is joining him along the way, consisting of a swordsman, marksman, navigator, cook, doctor, archaeologist, and cyborg-shipwright, this will be one memorable adventure.
