NieR: Automata Ver1.1a, the anime adaptation of the role-playing game by Square Enix and Platinum Games, has been teasing us with characters for some time. However, one of the most loved characters from the game, A2, did not appear until a few days ago.
On Thursday, the official website for NieR: Automata Ver1.1a revealed a new character video, titled “Promotion File 007”, featuring A2. Although the video gives a mere glimpse of the character a visual was also released which gave a proper first look.
As the trailer reveals, Ayaka Suwa will voice A2. Suwa also voiced A2 in the NieR: Automata game. Apart from the NieR franchise, Suwa has also voiced in other anime like Assassination Classroom and Yowamushi Pedal.

NieR: Automata Ver1.1a has yet to reveal a specific release date, which we can expect soon. As for the plot, the anime is speculated to adapt the events from the game, where android soldiers will fight mechanical beings to save humanity from extinction.
