Spy Classroom premiered this winter, introducing us to Lamplight – a team of spies who take on the most difficult missions despite their shortcomings. The first season ended with a cliffhanger, making us wonder what is going on with Thea and Monika.
Luckily, we won’t have to wait for long, as the anime will return with another season this year.
On Friday, the official website for the Spy Classroom anime series revealed a new teaser video and visual for the second season. The staff revealed that it will premiere in July.
The video gives a brief flashback of the first season, with the announcement of the second season at the end. Also, the name of the next mission is revealed to be “Boga” or Forgetter.
The main cast and staff members will return from the first season for their respective roles. Studio feel. is producing the anime with Keiichiro Kawaguchi as the director. Shinichi Inotsume will continue to write the series. Sumie Kinoshita is designing the characters for the anime.
In the visual, there are four characters – Annette (Forgetter), Erna (Fool), Thea (Dreamspeaker), and Monika (Glint) happily walking along the beach.
Spy Classroom received mixed reactions, with much criticism regarding its pacing and narrative. Despite this, several fans found it good enough. A second season can be a great chance to rework the presentation so that it attracts more people who love spy stories.

Spy Classroom is a manga series by Takemachi and illustrated by Tomari. It was first launched as a light novel in January 2020 and received a manga adaptation in May 2020. It received an anime in 2023.
