My Hero Academia’s Mangaka Shares Overhaul’s Sketch

My Hero Academia is currently in the most influential arc of the series so far, the Shie Hassaikai arc, and at the centre of this storm is the Yakuza Boss, Overhaul. Overhaul has been getting well-deserved hype as he is a well-written antagonist for the arc and looks like a new sketch just went live showing his malicious side.

Episode 70, titled “GO!!”, went live on 30th November and Kohei Horikoshi, the creator of the series, tweeted out a brand new sketch showing Overhaul in a dark light.

Introduced initially at the end of Season 3, punishing rogue villains, Overhaul has been preparing for an all-out battle against the modern society built by heroes. It is time for the Yakuza to strike back and take control now that The Symbol of Justice, All Might, is out of commission.

With quirk erasing bullets (based off of Eri’s quirk), an army of villains under the influence of a peculiar Quirk Boosting Drug, and a deadly combo of destruction and regeneration quirks of his own, Overhaul is about to give a serious challenge to the heroes of the world. It is going to be a deadly battle between the sides of the light and the darkness.

About My Hero Academia:

In a world where people with superpowers are the norm, Izuku Midoriya has dreams of one day becoming a Hero, despite being bullied by his classmates for not having a Quirk. After being the only one to try and save his childhood bully Katsuki Bakugo from a villain, All Might, Japan’s greatest Hero, saves him and bestows upon him All Might’s own Quirk “One for All”. The story follows Izuku’s entrance into U.A. High School, a school for training the next generation of superheroes. Izuku and his new friends try to balance their Hero training with ordinary school duties. However, the League of Villains, an evil organisation established by All Might’s archenemy All For One, has plans to destroy all Heroes and take control of society.
